What we have built in
- Semantic HTML: real headings in order, landmarks for header, navigation, main and footer, and lists used as lists.
- A skip link at the top of every page that jumps straight to the main content.
- Full keyboard operation: navigation, accordions, tabs, the cookie panel and the contact form can all be used without a mouse.
- Visible focus outlines on links, buttons and form fields, adjusted to stay visible on both white and deep-red backgrounds.
- Colour contrast checked against the red and white palette, with text never relying on colour alone to carry meaning.
- Descriptive text alternatives for every graphic: each tactical diagram is an inline SVG with a title and an accessible label describing what it shows.
- Link text that describes its destination: every profile link states which manager profile it opens, and cards carry a short summary of what the linked page contains.
- Responsive layouts at 1200px, 768px and 480px with no horizontal scrolling and no content lost at 200% zoom.
- Reduced-motion support: reveal animations and smooth scrolling are disabled automatically when your system requests reduced motion.
- Form fields with permanently associated labels rather than placeholder-only hints.
Design choices that help
The site avoids auto-playing media, carousels, pop-up interruptions after the first cookie decision, infinite scrolling and time-limited interactions. Line lengths in longform sections are constrained for comfortable reading, and the palette keeps body text dark on a white background.
Known limitations
The tactical diagrams are abstract by design. They summarise an idea rather than a specific match situation, and the surrounding text always explains the same idea in words, so no information is available only through the graphic. If you find a diagram whose description is not sufficient, we want to know.

If any part of this site is difficult to use with assistive technology, please tell us through the contact page, describing the page, the barrier and the technology you were using. Accessibility reports are treated as priority editorial corrections.
